SPORTS & RECREATION

A Wide Range of Activities for Warriors

Adaptive sports aren’t just about competition—they’re about reclaiming strength, confidence, and connection. These specially modified sports give our Warriors the chance to stay active, push limits, and rediscover the joy of movement after injury. Whether it’s wheelchair basketball, adaptive cycling, or sledge hockey, these activities are designed to meet each Warrior where they are—physically and emotionally.

San Diego’s Own Adaptive Team

The San Diego Wolfpack is the championship-winning adaptive sports team supported by Warrior Foundation Freedom Station. This military based wheelchair basketball team currently includes active duty and veteran players from the U.S. Army, Marine Corps and Navy. While these Warriors have sustained life-changing injuries such as amputations, spinal cord injuries and traumatic brain injuries, they don’t represent disabilities – only possibilities.

Educate. Inspire. Motivate.

Warrior Foundation Freedom Station created the Ambassador Program, a group of Warrior Foundation Alumni, who strive to “Educate, Inspire and Motivate” their audience by sharing their success stories through athletic endeavors, public appearances, motivational speeches and media interviews.
